Chapter 2 Desire..................

Hill writes "Desire is the starting point of all achievement" and "Wishing will not bring riches.

The fact that Desire is the key to accessing our creative imagination and subconscious mind
means we can use auto-suggestion through affirmations to change our lives.

But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, then planning definite ways
and means to acquire riches, and backing those plans with persistence which does not recognize
failure, will bring riches".

We all go through humps and have our bad days. The world can be a cruel place at times due to
things out of our control.  We need to feed our minds with positive material and associate with
positive people who will support us.

Do we look at successful people and say "They were so lucky, Or do we recognize that success
takes work?

You may as well know, right here, that you can never have riches in great quantities, UNLESS
you can work yourself into a white heat of DESIRE for money, and actually BELIEVE you will
possess it.

You may as well know, also that every great leader, from the dawn of civilization down to the
present, was a dreamer.

Tolerance, and an open mind are practical necessities of the dreamer of today. Those who are
afraid of new ideas are doomed before they start. Never has there been a time more favorable to
pioneers than the present.

I've heard many people say that they Desire a change in their life, but most are closed minded and
won't study any type of personal development.

True, there is no wild and woolly beast to be conquered, as in the days of the Covered Wagon;
but there is a vast business, financial, and industrial world to be remolded and redirected along
new and better lines.

Desire is wanting something so badly, You are willing to work for it...
