Think and Grow Rich – Chapter 15                                                                          July 20, 2022

How to Outwit the Six Ghosts of Fear.

Well!  Here I am at the end of Think and Grow Rich!  AGAIN! For 14 chapters, I’ve been given things I can do to improve my success.  NOW, Hill casually mentions the following:

“BEFORE you can put any portion of this philosophy into successful use, your mind must be prepared to receive it. The preparation is not difficult. It begins with study, analysis, and understanding of three enemies which you shall have to clear out.

These are INDECISION, DOUBT, and FEAR!

The Sixth Sense will never function while these three negatives, or any of them remain in your mind.”

I suggest, and agree with what the famous Elmer Fudd might have said when opening Chapter 15.  , “Aw BaDee, Aw, BaDee, Aw Badee, Mr. Hill, Why didn’t you tell me this at the BEGINNING???”

Really, what good is a DESIRE…and FAITH, not to mention knowing that Thoughts are Things, understanding ALL the Specialized Knowledge possible, using my Imagination, bothering to create Organized Planning, working on Decision making, having Persistence, even the Power of the Mastermind, Sex Transmutation, The Brain and also the Sixth Sense…If I’M SCARED OUT OF MY MIND TO DO MY BUSINESS?

I mean…there could have been a chapter at the beginning that says, If you are overwhelmed in Self Doubt, Can’t make Decisions quickly or feel Fear of any kind.  Please read my book on Becoming Bullet Proof to Fear before this one.

Actually, thinking through that idea again, I believe perhaps Napoleon Hill has softened the blow by building our hopes and helping us to develop characteristics through these first 14 chapters.  I doubt he EVER intended for people to do a quick read through this book…and SURELY not on the first read   or  the second, or even the twenty second time.

I am SO grateful to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for the awareness of the value of repetitive reading of this book and of continuously growing from re-reading and re-reading and listening to the thoughts of all the members of our Mentoring For Free mastermind group.  During each analysis of a chapter, I see something I have not seen before or learn just what I need to apply into my own life from one of your lessons.  Speaking of BRILLIANT, this book and this Mastermind are it!  I'm so grateful to all of you and also to myself for making a commitment to be an active part of this group
