Chapter 6 – Imagination

“The imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned
all plans created by man. The impulse, the DESIRE, is given shape,
form, and ACTION through the aid of the imaginative faculty of the
mind.” Napoleon Hill

The only limitation we have is in our development and use of our
imagination. How do we develop imagination? First, see a new way to
use older ideas, concepts or plans, synthetic imagination? I remember
Michael Dlouhy’s story about removing the lift from the truck he had
found and putting it on his 40-foot trailer now having the ability to
self-load and unloading.  This is synthetic imagination at its best,
the repurposing of a resource for better use.

Second, reach out to Infinite Intelligence, through vibrations to other
minds, receiving “hunches” and “inspirations” being handed over to our
minds. I see this in the examples of the Wright brothers, whose dream
of flight lead them to experiment with kites, to watch the flight of
various kinds of birds, and with the creative imagination built from
wood, cloth, wires, and cables the machine that put men into the air on
December 17, 1903, just 118 years ago. With creative imagination of
others enable men to travel well above the speed of sound.

Remember, desire is only a thought, an idea, an impulse until it has
been put into action and transformed into its physical counterpart.
Synthetic imagination is the one which will be used most frequently,
I now see I must keep in mind the fact, you will face circumstances
\and situations which demand the use of the creative imagination as well.
I must choose to be open to new ideas, hunches, and inspirations.

“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire,
you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.”
George Bernard Shaw

I wake up every day with the desire to use my imagination, looking for
new ways to use old ideas, or to be open to the hunches or inspiration
which flow from Infinite Intelligence and the ether.

I am grateful for Mentoring for Free for the advanced training I have
found on developing and using the two forms of imagination. Thanks to
Linda and Michael for being a real examples of using creative imagination
in the creation of this platform and encouraging each of us to use our
imagination. I am thankful for the imagination brought by each of those
who participate in the weekly call.
