Chapter 6 - Imagination
Malcolm Gladwell is quoted as saying "The visionary starts with a
clean sheet of paper, and re-imagines the world."
Napoleon Hill added this chapter on Imagination for a reason. He tells us
"The imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned all plans
created by man."
Jason Calacanis tells us "You have to have a big vision and take very small
steps to get there. You have to be humble as you execute but visionary
and gigantic in terms of your aspiration. In the Internet industry,
it's not about grand innovation, it's about a lot of little innovations:
every day, every week, every month, making something a little bit better."
Yes, we would all like to be able to make one big push and have our
business be a success overnight. But we also know, it doesn't work like that.
It takes time. It takes those "little innovations" done every day, every
week, every month and making things work a little bit better and by doing
that we become a little bit better every day. Then one day when we add
up all those "little innovations" we will have become that success we imagined
on that "clean sheet of paper when re-imagined our world.
