Think and Grow Rich – Chapter 4                                    June 23, 2021

The Subconscious Mind

One of my sons working in sales in the health field and exceling for 5 years, was laid off at the end of May.  He and his office were doing well, but the Denver office, where the company owner was, had been losing money. The owner combined the 2 offices and took the position of my son.

While contemplating his next move, he saw a good friend at a seminar they both attended.  He shared what had happened.  The friend said, “Great!  You could be doing so much better as a realtor.”  Next he said, “I made $250,000 last year in real estate.  I have leads I can’t take care of and YOU WOULD BE TERRIFIC in this industry.”

This positive thought moved my son to study for the exam to get a real estate license.  After a few days, he told me with great fear, “This is really hard.  Now Colorado makes a realty sales person take the test as if he were becoming a broker.  It’s the hardest state in the country to get a license!  I don’t know if I can do it.  Plus lots of it is boring!”

The above statement is a perfect example of how to fail a new venture.  Starting to study with the above 5 negative comments cannot lead to productive study.  What it CAN and WILL do is provide the subconscious with 5 real excuses to fail when failure comes…and t has to come as the subconscious mind has only been given negative thoughts to act on through the emotion of total fear.

When a desire comes, Hill says, the following.  “Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. One or the other must dominate. It is your responsibility to make sure that positive emotions constitute the dominating influence of your mind.

Here the law of HABIT will come to your aid. Form the habit of applying and using the positive emotions! Eventually, they will dominate your mind so completely, that the negatives cannot enter it.

Only by following these instructions literally, and continuously, can you gain control over your subconscious mind. The presence of a single negative in your conscious mind is sufficient to destroy all chances of constructive aid from your subconscious mind.”

I copied the last 3 paragraphs and gave them to my son and suggested he could read the whole chapter about the Subconscious mind.  He is reading this much right now.

Plus this is also a chapter that l really supports ME as I continue to learn and work with the use of social media in my network marketing business.

Thanks again to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for their consistent, persistent and supportive efforts which fill me with a positive attitude and a total expectation of success!  Thanks to those of you who join me on this trek.
