Have you ever gone to a business to apply for a job just knowing that if you could get to a certain person that you would have a great chance of getting that job? One where you could showcase your talents? But there at the desk sits a secretary telling you that they are not hiring and that one person you wanted to talk with is unavailable you but you can leave a resume and if they are interested they will call you. That secretary is what is known as a gatekeeper checking your actions and judging if you are worthy to have some face time with that person and that’s exactly what the conscious mind is. It checks your motives or what you are attempting to get through to the subconscious.
And that is a good thing in some ways. Because you can pass negativity on to the subconscious as well as positive. It’s right there at the conscious mind that you can analyze the thought you really want to pass on to the subconscious or block it and replace it with a positive thought that serves you and not sets you back. The ones you want the subconcscious to recognize you have to work a little at by programming with your self talk but well worth it. Once the negatives are allowed in they are a lot harder to remove.
Thank you Linda and Michael Dlouhy for always helping us to be aware and teaching us to guard what enters our minds. And thanks to my friends and mastermind partners for the brain food weekly.
