Chapter 14
The Sixth Sense
The Thirteenth Step Towards Riches

Napolean Hill describes the SIXTH SENSE as the portion of the subconscious mind which has been referred to as the creative imagination. Also referred to as the “receiving set” through which ideas, plans, and thoughts flash into the mind. Those flashes are sometimes called “hunches” or inspirations. Understanding of the sixth sense comes only by meditation through mind development from within. Probably, the sixth sense is the medium of contact between the finite mind of man and Infinite Intelligence, which is a mixture of both the mental and the spiritual. It’s believed to be the point at which the mind of man contacts the Universal Mind.
Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of impending dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of opportunities in time to embrace them.
The door to the temple of wisdom is the development of the sixth sense, a “guardian angel.”
Think of intelligence like hives of bees that remain together until they disintegrate, through lack of harmony. Much like this Master Mind group. If people just call in and don’t participate in the calls, then the calls are just calls. With no substance due to lack of harmony. But if everyone participates on the calls, the hive of intelligence gains harmony as intelligence grows to infinite proportions, therefore gaining knowledge for everyone.
Differences of opinions in the Master Mind group are very helpful to each and every one of you, as your own thoughts and DESIRES serve as the magnet which attracts units of life, from the great ocean of life out there. Only the friendly units are attracted – the ones which harmonize the nature of your DESIRES.
The Sixth Sense is a subject that will be of great interest and benefit to the person whose aim is to accumulate vast wealth, but to the attention of those whose desires are more modest. The Sixth Sense can be in connection with inventions and vast wisdom, seldom before the age of 40 does any individual grasp this concept.
The Sixth Sense may not mature until one is well past 50 through years of meditation, self-examination, trials, and serious thought.
