Chapter 4 - Auto-Suggestion
Hill states "Autosuggestion is self-suggestion."
So we are telling ourselves what we want to believe.
Michael Dlouhy had told us that self talk was his way to success.
We can say our self talk 500, 1000, 2000 times a day and
we know we are telling ourselves what and how to think.
But, what do we tell ourselves when we are not saying our
created self talk. Is that self talk positive or is it
Do we concentrate enough at that time to realize what we
are telling ourselves or do we just go about our business
not even noticing what is in our mind?
Even when we say our "created" self talk, do we really believe
what we are saying or have we created a self talk that so huge
and in the back of our mind we know we will never achieve?
That kind of self talk kind of defeats the purspoe.
It may come as a surprise to some of us when we really take
the time to notice what we fill that time of thinking with.
Do we go back and think about the things other people told us,
do we think about the times we failed, or do we push those
negative thoughts away and replace them with all the positive
things we have said and heard?
Ryan Kwanten said "Everyone is being told by society to talk
this way, to dress that way, to be this person or to be that
person, and it's so important to just maintain a sense of self."
