We find that words have the power to lift us up and encourage or to destroy so we have to use them wisely. That’s why we have to trust that guard that Tuula was talking about in her lesson. We then can make the decision to either pass it on to the subconscious at that point or reject those words.
We can’t do that without a keen awareness. So many things that come at us all the time and if we are not really aware and conscious it can pass right on through. Michael gave a good example about the news making a statement followed up by the word right? That word is used by the media to bypass that filter or guard if you will and hopefully get you nodding in agreement.
We are constantly being bombarded by the negative stuff and if you let yourself get complacent or let that guard down in it comes. One example in my life recently was I was talking to a friend about someone famous and I said oh they are filthy rich. Quickly I realized what i just said and said cancel that thought…cancel, cancel…I meant extremely rich!
All that to say that the negative has to be completely shut off and we have to counter with positive self talk repeated so often with emotion that our subconscious believes it. To the point that we are saying it without consciously acknowledging it as Michael would tell us. He also tells us that self talk was his key to success so we should be listening closely.
Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for setting the example for us weekly. And thanks to my friends and mastermind partners for you brilliance weekly that sparks my thoughts.
