Chapter 3 - Faith

On one of our Leaders Skills Calls Michael Dlouhy told us that part of the
reason he had such success in his business and life was that he had
faith in himself.  He believed if others can do something he can also
learn to do it.

D. Elton Trueblood has stated "Faith is not belief without proof, but
trust without reservation."

Michael had "trust without reservation."  His Aunt Honey told him when
he was a child "he could do anything" and Michael believed her.

Norman Vincent Peale wrote "Believe in yourself! Have faith in your
abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own
powers you cannot be successful or happy."

When we began our business I'm sure we all had that "humble reasonable
confidence in our own powers" to be able to do it or we would never have begun.
We just had to learn the skills needed and where to find them.

I failed miserably in four companies before I found the help to develop
the skills needed.  Plugging into the Mentoring for Free System also took
faith and belief that this was truthful accurate information that would
help me in my journey.

It would be great to be a "Michael Dlouhy" or a "Big Al" but we have
to face the fact that we are not.

As Bruce Lee puts it "Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself,
do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it."

We can't be a Michael or a Big Al but we can be the best "we" that we can be
and duplicate what they did and do to achieve success.

Novalis said "Knowledge is only one half. Faith is the other."

We need to have faith in ourselves.
