“ACCURATE analysis of over 25,000 men and women who had experienced failure, disclosed the fact that LACK OF DECISION was near the head of the list of the 30 major causes of FAILURE. This is no mere statement of a theory—it is a fact. PROCRASTINATION, the opposite of DECISION, is a common enemy which practically every man must conquer.” Napoleon Hill

We are also told that reach a decision quickly which is just the opposite of it’s enemy procrastination. Procrastination gets us to slow down to a crawl as we painfully waste time thinking about it.

I really think we have to know exactly what we want and a strong desire to get it or we won’t get it. I just got an email from Big Al today and what does he talk about? Decision. Was that a coincidence? I don’t think so. He says “Prospects want the big picture first” so you have to know if it’s important enough to even make a decision on it. He also says “Decisions come first. Details come later.

An example that he gives is "Do I want to change my life, or stay where I am?" This decision comes first. Or another is "Do I want more money in my life, or will I try to get by on what I have?" This decision comes first. Once you have made the choice then the details always come but that decision has to be made first and the magic seems to just naturally follow.

I always hear that about dreaming and visualization. Don’t worry about how you will get it. If you start worrying about that first you will never make the decision. I think that might be one of the reasons we are told to make them fast and change them slowly while we are working out the details.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for making their decision about giving back fast. Look what a great system materialized from that decision. Thanks to all my friends and mastermind partners for sharing your brilliance with me weekly.

P.S. I saw this post from the owner of my company last night after I wrote my lesson and it was just too good to leave out....You can rise up from anything. You can completely recreate yourself. Nothing is permanent. You’re not stuck. You have choices. You can think new thoughts. You can learn something new. You can create new habits. All that matters is that you DECIDE TODAY and never look back.
