DECISION: THE MASTERY OF PROCRASTINATION
The Seventh Step toward Riches
Hill says ACCURATE analysis of over 25,000 men and women who had experienced failure, disclosed
the fact that LACK OF DECISION was near the head of the list of the 30 major causes of FAILURE.
This is no mere statement of a theory—it is a fact. PROCRASTINATION, the opposite of DECISION
is a common enemy which practically every man must conquer.
I can attest to this from my life experince, although my experience were nothing compared to the
men mentionedd in this book.
In 1962 I was approched by my life insurasnce as he cme to visit us, after some smal talk he said
"would you like to come to work for us". Without any thought I said "are you crazy".
After some some very sincere conversation he said think it over and I will call you in a few days to
get your decision. I did not contact any of my friends because I was sure their comment would be the
same response as my original reaction.
My wife and and I discussed the opportunity and decided to go for it. That was a very good decision
because I was the top producer in Texas for our company every year and received many awards. Was it
easy, Absolutely not but the results were great.
In 1988 the company changed management and ownership and things stared happening that I did not approve.
My option was to do something I did not approve or move on. I made my decision and moved on.
I decided I was going to sell automobiles. I answered a couple of adds and the second interview The
Sales manager said I like your attitude and I would be happy to hire you. Come in tomorrow and we will
put you on the sales floor.
Very challenging again. Very hard work learn how to approach customers, Study and all all the fedatures
of all the vehichles and long hours. Again very rewarding, on my way to the top sales person and the
second month I accomplished that.
