Chapter 8 - Decision
Many, many years ago I decided I wanted to know what
the Bible actually says and not what everyone else's
interpretation was. So as I began to study, to my surprise,
I found a lot of things that the "world's religions" teach
are nowhere to be found in the Bible. We just go along and
believe things that people tell us instead of finding
out for ourselves.
The same goes for reading Think & Grow Rich or starting
a Network Marketing business. Should we accept someone
else's opinion on what we should be doing to build a business or
even listen when people tell us we should not even consider
beginning a business?
When we go into reading anything with pre-conceived
ideas and hope to find the truth, we are just fooling
ourselves because when we hold unto our preconceived ideas
we are only going to find what we think we already know.
I would rather find out what the real truth is and not
hope and wish and want it to be what I want it to be.
Life is so much simpler when you deal with truth.
The truth is the truth is the truth.
Michael Dlouhy teaches us to be critical thinkers and so
when he created Mentoring for Free he created a subtitle
to describe what we learn here. The Mentoring for Free
subtitle is "Where you learn How to think, not what you think."
Do we apply this principle in all areas of our lives or is it
just easier to accept and listen to everyone else? We all have a choice.
We all have to make this decision for ourselves.
Theodore Roosevelt has been quoted as saying "In any moment of
decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing
is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
Sebastian Kurz stated "Doing the right thing is a decision,
which in many cases means you stand alone."
