I had a trip to Florida planned last weekend. I planned to fly from Houston to Tampa on Friday morning. There was a tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico, but it didn’t seem like a big deal. However, on Thursday it made land fall near Houston, some areas reported over 40 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. I kept thinking I can still make it to the airport…I might just have to take a later flight. As time got closer I decided to get some information from someone with specialized knowledge. I called Texas department of transportation, they informed me that I’ll never make it to the airport the roads are closed due to flooding. A couple hours later the airline sent me an email advising that my flight was cancelled. I looked at the weather channel and saw pictures of the airport underwater…at this point I knew that this trip was a no go. I thought even if I got to the airport the plane could never get off the runway. I asked myself what’s stopping my business from getting off the runway?
I’ve acquired some specialized knowledge since being here at MFF, but I’ll never stop learning. One thing that I’ve discovered is that no matter how much specialized knowledge a person acquires, IT’S USELESS IF THERE’S NO ACTION!!!
It takes a 747 going about 184 mph to take off, but once it reaches cruising altitude it travels about 570 mph. So once we get momentum in our business and stay consistent it will take on a life of it’s own…but we must first get off the runway!
Thank you Linda and Michael Dlouhy for gaining the specialized knowledge to share with each one of us here at MFF. Thank you to all of my friends here in this powerful mastermind that share specialized knowledge each and every week.
