Unless you win the lottery or born into wealth, you need the desire to become wealthy.  Edwin Barnes got of the freight train looking like an ordinary individual, but he had the mind of a king.  He did not just hope or wish, he had the fire of desire burning in him, which made a partner with Edison.  Desire is what kept him going for five years before opportunity presented itself.  Desire separates the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Barnes is one of the many examples.  Steve Jobs had above average technical knowledge, but his desire is what revolutionized the desktop and laptop computer industry.  He and his colleagues got their share of rejection from banks who would not loan them money. They, however, continue plugging away and in time got investors which put Apple Computer on the map.  There was plenty of hard work and sweat equity, but this all happened due to desire.

Jobs and Apple had other major hits such as the IPOD which revolutionized the distribution of the music industry.  Capital Records no longer exists due to the IPOD.  Then came The IPAD and IPhone.   This pushed other companies to move forward. Now we can choose the IPhone or Android phone.  Would technology be here today if Steve Jobs did not have the desire?

Desire is necessary for any major milestone in one’s life.  I like to use Sports.  Michael Jordan in my opinion is the best basketball player in history.  Jack Nicklaus is the most accomplished professional golfer.  They worked their tails off and put in the hours, plus they had desire. They went from ordinary to extraordinary because of desire.

This is no different in the Network Marketing Industry. Millions of folks are involved in the industry.  The opportunities are there to change your life and help others do the same. In other words this industry can be very rewarding in more things than money.  Many, however, will not move from ordinary to extraordinary, because they don’t have the desire. Most wish they had more money and control of their lives.  The desire is what an individual needs to go through the trials and tribulations that life throws at all of us.  You have gotta want it!

It helps us tremendously to be associated with others who have the same desire.  I have hear many times in life that we are what we eat.  Well we become who we are by the company we keep!

Thank you Michael And Linda Dlouhy for developing Mentoring for Free. Thank you Rick Burnett for reaching out and thank you to all the folks with desire on the calls.
