Think & Grow Rich Lessons

Fear is caused by our natural sense of self-preservation (i.e. my brother Rick’s example of hiking and coming upon a bear).

The fear of the bear is the same as the Bible teaches in “fear God”, a healthy respect.  We respect that the bear is stronger

than we are, so we fear it.

The FEAR spoken of in this chapter are…”the fear of POVERTY the fear of CRITICISM the fear of ILL HEALTH the fear of

LOSS OF LOVE OF SOMEONE the fear of OLD AGE the fear of DEATH.

“Fears are nothing more than states of mind. One’s state of mind is subject to control and direction.”  Hill’s example

of the physician is powerful.  Doctor’s don’t fear disease so they don’t get them.

“Nature has endowed man with absolute control over but one thing, and that is THOUGHT. This fact, coupled with

the additional fact that everything which man creates, begins in the form of a thought, leads one very near to the

principle by which FEAR may be mastered.”

Therefore, if FEAR is a state of mind and I have absolute control of my mind, what am I [we] afraid of?

Thank You Linda & Michael Dlouhy, bob Shoaf and this awesome MasterMind for pushing me to be the best me possible.

Eternally Grateful,
