Think and Grow Rich
Sometimes a person can be so bogged down with the same old negative thoughts, that they are completely unaware of how entrenched those thoughts are. Their paradigm of negative thoughts is rock solid and even if they know that what they are thinking isn't true, they don't want to give the effort to change.
It can be tough to change those thoughts, but the only way one can change them is through auto-suggestion. Napoleon wrote that no thought, positive or negative “can enter the subconscious mind without the aid of the principle of auto-suggestion”. The conscious or thinking mind serves “as an outer-guard to the approach of the subconscious”, either accepting or rejecting one's thoughts.
You wouldn't know it by looking at the masses of people who are living in poverty or are unhappy about some aspect of their lives, but we have ABSOLUTE CONTROL of our thoughts. I liked the analogy Napoleon used to describe the subconscious mind. He called it a fertile garden spot, where weeds can grow as well as a good crop. Whether the seeds come from weeds or a beneficial crop, they will grow.
We want to get rid of the weeds and replace with the seeds of abundance and auto-suggestion is the way it has to be done. It's a solo job-only you can replace your own thoughts. We can get support and affirmations from like minded people, such as our Mentoring for Free Mastermind Group, but the job is ours. And it should be taken seriously, because it could mean the difference between a great life or a miserable one (or at best a mediocre one).
