“I've learned that fear(s) limits you and your vision. It serves
as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you.
The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your
abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even
brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom - how great is that?”
If we are to make war against fear and defeat its hold over us must
understand and know our enemy. So, what is fear? When used as a noun,
fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or
something is dangerous, or likely to cause pain, or is a threat. As
a verb, it is to be afraid of or feel threatening by someone or something,
real or unreal, a preserved danger.
As Hill states, “Fears are nothing more than states of mind.” Fear
takes over when a man take that state of mind and translate those thoughts
into their physical equivalent, voluntary or involuntary. These thoughts
impulses, when picked up through the ether, can determine one's financial,
business, professional, or social destiny just as surely as do the thought
impulses which one creates by intent and design.
“Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power,
and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.” Jim Morrison
I have never found the need to doing things that would voluntary ignite that
feeling of fear. I have never voluntary gone to horror movies. But I remember
2 I attended as a youth because I was in a group who went. I knew they
were a movie and not real, but in that state of mind, the fear felt real.
By choice, I never went to such movies again, to this day.
Before each of us is a choice, to allow those ghosts of fear, whichever
fear or negative emotion it is to take root in our lives. I know I came
to Mentoring for Free with many of the ghosts of fear pulling at me,
which I now see as a form of insanity. Here I have found I can “STOP IT”.
It is in my hands, heart, and mind to control what I allow the come into
my mind. It is in my power to change from being indecisive to being decisive,
from change doubt into faith, and move fear out and let assurance in.
Thank you, Linda and Michael, for giving this platform to find my way
to controlling those ghosts of fear. Bob Shoaf, you are a mentor, friend,
and brother thanks for your presence in my life. To my mastermind partner
thanks for the spirit of harmony, you have brought into my life. To everyone
who downloaded the e-book “Success in 10 Steps” and speak with weekly thank you, thank you.
PS: “Don't let fear or insecurity stop you from trying new things. Believe
in yourself. Do what you love. And most importantly, be kind to others,
even if you don't like them.” Stacy London
