Chapter 2 Desire

In this short lesson I'd like to talk about my reasons for taking up Network Marketing. You could call it my "why".

Firstly I value, more than I can say, the independence that comes with running your own business. Over the years, like most people, I've had a succession of bosses. Some were excellent. They sort of made you want to work for them. Others were... well, indifferent. They operated by means of threats and coercion. They wouldn't have recognized the idea of motivation  even if they'd run into it. Strangely enough, as time went on, the more indifferent they became. Anyways, I've decided that, if I'm going to work heaven knows how many hours a day, then I'm going to do it for myself. THAT should be sufficient motivation.

Secondly I'm thinking, with a certain amount of misgivings, about my "old age". I'm not too far of retiring age(although I don't intend to retire then). My pension arrangements are almost non-existent. The state pension here in the UK would hardly keep my dog alive. By building a residual income from Network Marketing I hope to make these later years more pleasant.

Thirdly I'd like to use some of the wealth that I accumulate to help others who are less fortunate than myself. I know from my own experiences during the past year or so that poverty is absolutely vile. There's nothing more stressful, demoralizing or depressing. I also know that state sytems designed to eliminate poverty often fail the very people they're supposed to help. Very often the wealthy individual is the only one that can help. If I can help just one person rise up out of the ashes of poverty and create wealth, thenI'll be happy. I hope, of course that there'll be more than one.
