The power of the mind, the power of positive thinking and thought comes before action are the basis for the entire book and this chapter starts off with the illustrations and emphasis on the initial principles. This chapter provides wonderful motivation to not only read the rest of the book, but apply the principles.
It's great too how he emphasizes that any person in any situation can apply these principles. You don't have to have anything to get started. The thought of riches and the belief in acheiving it can manifest in a burning desire to stick with it and take action.
No doubt that the great depression or any type of recession leads to a change in state of mind, which leads to a longer depression. The economy is largely based on consumer confidence. Consumer confidence is the belief that things will continue to be good or will get better.
I truly know the power of the mind and the power of beliefs. I have also read the Power of Positive Thinking; which is another very impactful and lasting book. Some of the things that I have learned over the years have stuck and some things have been forgotten. For me, I need to be reminded of these things that I have forgotten. Most of us get a lot of negativity around us or negative influences. These things can bring you down.
There are many great quotes in all chapters. Here is one DETERMINED TO REMAIN READY UNTIL HE GOT THAT WHICH HE WAS SEEKING. This is about determination, persistence and positive expectation. This encompasses a lot in one phrase.
Thank you to Bob for encouraging me to start on this journey. I'm excited and ready.
