Jim Rohn once said in his audio, "Give me someone who has a dollar and some ambition and I can show you how to get rich and it will be one of the classic stories of the company." That quote can pretty much sum up desire. Go back to the time that you first joined your network marketing company. What did you see? What got you thinking that way? Well, these first two chapters can answer those questions: vision and desire.
See when you desire something so badly, you are going to do whatever it takes to get it done. That white, hot burning desire inside your body will lead you to being persistent, and wanting to be mentored from somebody who has done what you are after. We all hear people say that they desire something, but their actions show otherwise. That is where the old saying, "Actions speak louder than words" comes from. Why is that though? Why do people say they desire something so badly, but their actions speak differently? Go back to Chapter 1 of this book, it is because your vision is not clear enough on what you want. And if you are having trouble with your desire, I want to tell you something that we will learn about in the future chapters: You have to decide what YOU want, not what others want for you. When you make a quick decision on what you want from your thought, then your desire will kick in. I heard a great quote that I thought would bring value to others: "Let your vision guide you, not your current circumstances, emotions, or challenges."
That is why our vision is so important. Because when we can clearly see our vision, our desire goes from mediocrity to burning hot. Then once we have that white, hot burning desire, there is no stopping you. Let me ask you a question, how do you stop a tidal wave? You can't. And that is what we become when our desire is burning so hot.
