Chapter 14 - The Sixth Sense
Hill writes "Somewhere in the cell-structure of the brain, is located
an organ which receives vibrations of thought ordinarily
called “hunches.”
The SIXTH SENSE is that portion of the subconscious mind
which has been referred to as the Creative Imagination."
On the Live Clients Call on Tuesday Bob called a lady and
after the call we proceeded to figure out what colour
personality she was.
Len submitted that he thought she was self contained but
continued to talk himself out of that and then said she
was an open personality. Rick participated and said he was influenced
by what Len had said and then agreed to the lady being an
open personality.
They both had a hunch but they did not follow the hunch but
were influenced to change their thoughts about the outcome.
The lady was a self contained personality and both Len and
Rick knew they were. Their "gut feeling" told them so but they
were influenced to change their mind.
How many times do we do that in our everyday lives? We have
a hunch or a "sixth sense" about something and we allow
someone or something to change that hunch so we either don't
do what we thought we should and/or do something different or
ignore it altogether.
Figuring out a color personality is not such a critical
thing on a call but when it comes to our personal lives,
listening to our sixth sense can be critical.
We all have, as the old saying goes, "gut feelings" and they
are usually correct if we follow them.
We know we have a great business model in Network Marketing
and we sometimes allow others to influence that "gut feeling", that sixth
sense", that "hunch" and we begin to doubt our own decision.
No one else knows what is best for us; No one else is in
exactly the same situation as we are; and no one is willing
to take care of us, pay our bills and support us. So why
do we allow others to influence our "hunches" our "gut feelings"?
Hill tells us "Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be warned of
impending dangers in time to avoid them, and notified of
opportunities in time to embrace them.
The fact remains that human beings do receive accurate
knowledge, through sources other than the physical senses."
Joyce Brothers stated "Trust your hunches. They're usually
based on facts filed away just below the conscious level."
