First, let me apologize for not making my lesson plan post last week on chapter 1.  I was sick a couple days and messed the cutoff;  but,  I am personally holding myself accountable for it and am posting both lesson plans from last week and also this week's.  So I will now be posting Chapter 1 first (a shortened version of it), and then Chapter 2.  Thank you for your understanding.

Chapter 1,

"Whatever your mind can conceive and believe it CAN ACHIEVE!"  Riches can't always be measured in money! There is NO such thing as SOMETHING FOR NOTHING! The secret Hill refers to is mentioned no fewer than 100 times throughout the book!  IF you are READY for it, you'll see it.  It has not been directly named.  It seems to work more successfully when It's merely uncovered and left insight. WHERE THOSE WHO ARE READY and SEARCHING FOR IT, may pick it up.  IF you are READY to put it to use, you will recognize this secret AT LEAST ONCE IN EVERY CHAPTER!  13 steps to riches offer the shortest dependable philosophy of individual achievement ever presented for for the benefit of others who are searching for a definite goal in life.  It can not be had by anyone who is not intentionally searching for it!  Comes in two parts; one part is already in possession of those who are ready for it.  ALL ACHIEVEMENT, ALL EARNED RICHES, HAVE THEIR BEGINNING IN AN IDEA!  If you are ready for the secret, you already possess one half of it, therefore, you will readily recognize the other half the moment it reaches your mind.  Make a decision, have a burning desire, be determined, have persistence and resilience.  Initiative & faith & the will to win.  This is what I believe Andrew Carnegie's secret was. 😊  "You are" the master of your own fate, the captain of your soul. Because we have the power to control our thoughts. As I was studying chapter one and the Introduction to "Law of Success" also by Napoleon Hill, it tells you to clear your mind completely of everything and to open it up to imagination.  I done just this.  As I read, I CAME UP WITH TWO AMAZING INVENTIONS!!  One that will benefit and help the deaf, hard of hearing and anyone that for whatever reason can't speak.  The second one will benefit and help people with Autism or any sensory disorder.  Both of them are amazing and can help millions if not billions of people!!  I now have a great desire to see these come to pass!!  They will both help my son too.  I have put it out to the world, and mentioned that I need someone to build them, and asked for the people to come to me, and I also said what I would give back to the world when these come to pass.  I was so extatic when these ideas just popped up in my head!!  That is exactly what Hill said would happen;  that out of nowhere it will flash in your mind and that's exactly what happened!!  I shared the ideas with my husband and he loved them!! 😊  Success comes to those who become SUCCESS CONSCIOUS.  Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become FAILURE CONSCIOUS!  The object of this book is to help all who seek it, to learn the art of changing their minds from FAILURE CONSIOUS TO SUCCESS CONSIOUS.

Chapter 2, Desire

You have to have a DESIRE of wanting success and riches throughout your entire being in order to achieve it.  Picture and CONVIENCE yourself as you already having it throughout all areas of your life already.  Edwin Barnes's CONSUMING OBSESSION AND BURNING DESIRE to become a business associate of Eddison along with faith and willingness to win gave him the encouragement he needed to get on a train and go right to Eddison's face to ask him for what he wanted.  When he didn't receive the exact position he'd asked for, he DID NOT GIVE UP!!  He accepted the job offered, knowing that he would still be working for Eddison and believing in the fact that he would have another opportunity.  He saw the brighter side of things.  He hung in there until the opportunity eventually presented itself 5 years down the road.  Now, some people may have gotten upset about this, thinking negative thoughts and would have quit.  Because of Barnes's PERSISTENCE AND RESILIENCE he didn't stop 3 feet short from the gold!!  Also, he burned all bridges behind him; NO TURNING BACK, NO LOOKING BACK!  He left himself NO possible way of retreat!  He had to WIN or perish!!  We can all learn a lot from this right here.  Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat.  Only by so doing can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a BURNING DESIRE TO WIN, essential to success.  There's one quality which one must possess to win, and that is DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE, the knowledge of what one wants, and a BURNING DESIRE to possess it.  This changed world requires practical dreamers who can and will put their dreams into action.  The practical dreamers have always been, and always will be the pattern-makers of civilization.  Tolerance and an open mind are practical necessities of the dreamers of today.  Those who are afraid of new ideas are doomed before they even start.  "SUCCESS REQUIRES NO APOLOGIES, FAILURE PERMITS NO ALIBIS."  If the thing you wish to do is right, and you believe in it, go ahead and do it! Put your dream across and never mind what "they" say.  If you meet with temporary defeat, for "they," perhaps, do not know that EVERY FAILURE BRINGS WITH IT THE SEED OF AN EQUIVALENT SUCCESS.  There is a difference between wishing for a thing and being READY to receive it.  No one is is ready for a thing, until he believes he can acquire it.  The state of mind must be BELIEF, not mere hope or wish.  Open-mindedness is essential for belief.  Closed minds do not inspire faith, courage, and belief.  Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.  Through some strange and powerful principle of "mental chemistry" which she has never divulged, Nature wraps up in the impulse of STRONG DESIRE "that something" which recognizes no such word as impossible, and accepts no such reality as failure.

Thank you to each of you for this wonderful group.  In 3 weeks I've learned so much.  Thank you Michael and Linda Dlouhy.  May everyone's day be as bright as the morning sun.  Much love and gratitude to you all.

God Bless You, 😇
