Thoughts are things. Truly powerful things. Every action we do is preceded by a thought. If you are in a situation, think back on the thoughts that got you there.
Before we do something, we say, I think will do this or I will do that. I think I will go here or I will go there. I think I will try this or I will try that. Every action preceded by a thought.
We can intensify these thoughts by mixing them with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a BURNING DESIRE. As we learn to control our thoughts we learn to control our life. (Actually, we don't control our thoughts, we control how we handle our thoughts.) Babies learn to walk by using this same thought process. The big question is HOW do we learn to use this process.
I am reminded of the story of the person that wanted to move to a new town. He asked a gentleman in the town, what kind of people lived in this town? The gentleman asks him what kind of people lived in the town where he came from. He said that they were not very nice people, unfriendly, not kind, short tempered, and not easy to get along with. The old gentleman replied – you will find the same kind of people live here.
Another person asks the old gentleman the same question. The old gentleman asks what kind of people live in the town where he came from? The person replied, they are great people. They are friendly, outgoing, social, caring and helpful. The old gentleman replied – you will find the same type people live here.
It is our thoughts that make if so. “Thoughts are things” and powerful things at that.
