“Man can create nothing which he does not first conceive in
the form of an impulse of thought. Following this statement,
comes another of still greater importance, namely, MAN'S
THOUGHT IMPULSES BEGIN IMMEDIATELY TO TRANSLATE THEMSELVES
INTO THEIR PHYSICAL EQUIVALENT, WHETHER THOSE THOUGHTS ARE
VOLUNTARY OR INVOLUNTARY. Thought impulses which are picked
up through the ether, by mere chance (thoughts which have
been released by other minds) may determine one's financial,
business, professional, or social destiny just as surely as
do the thought impulses which one creates by intent and
Fears are nothing more than states of mind. One's state of
mind is subject to control and direction. Nature has endowed
man with absolute control over but one thing, and that is
THOUGHT. Powerful and mighty is the human mind! It builds, or
Hill ends this book by making look back at the beginning. The
very first words, ““Thoughts are things,” and powerful things
at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose,
persistence, and a BURNING DESIRE for their translation into
riches, or other material objects.”
Yes, the mind of man is a powerful thing, fully capable of
doing many mighty deeds and accomplish great wonders. Time has
shown of what mankind is capable both good and bad. The
Twentieth Century bares witness to this. Man first flew in 1903
and in just 12 years turn the airplane into a war machine (build
or destroy). Found substances in nature to save lives and turned
it into gas to take lives (build and destroy).
In the movie “Fields of Dreams” the character played by Kevin
Costner was told “Build it and he will come!” The same hold true
for us in our fields of dreams. Our choices to turn our dreams
into lives full of joys, success and prosperities. Like Barnes,
Ford, Edison, Paine, and many others we can with definiteness of
purpose, persistence and a burning desire change our world and
the lives around us.
All too often many only see dreams full of ghost of fears.
Ghost created in the mind, though not real treated as real.
Living life with feelings of lack, criticism, ill health, lost
love, aging, and even death, Yes, within each lies the ability
build or destroy ourselves. It is our choice.
I have made the choice to build, no longer listening any the
ghost of fear. I choose to live in the abundance God has given
me. Not to get lost in the concern of what others may say about
me. Knowing that illness, aging and death will come, but are
not to be feared. Love is eternally.
