Think & Grow Rich Lessons

I used to think that the part with the invisible counselors was pretty weird I’ll have to admit but I have had a little aha moment about that this time around. In the past I just pushed that part out of the way since I told myself I couldn’t process that thought. Now I see the purpose in that exercise of imagination and when you think about it that’s all it is. I have had clients use that as an excuse to opt out of the whole study. It didn’t agree with their biblical views and I can understand a little of that also but when I look at it the way I’m looking at it now it’s ok because it is just an excercise of imagination. And Michael always says "there are a hundred excuses, just pick one, any will do."

If you are like me the imagination in my life after being instructed all through the years after say like 8 years old has grown as rusty as an old bolt laying outside in the weather. An the imagination if neglected is like a body that has been fed junk food and deprived from exercise for a long period of time. How do you expect results from such neglect of the body or of the imagination?

Hill says “Long before I had ever written a line for publication, or endeavored to deliver a speech in public, I followed the habit of reshaping my own character, by trying to imitate the nine men whose lives and life-works had been most impressive to me. I understand now that he had picked out specific attributes of the people he admired and wanted to acquire for himself and put his imagination and self talk to work as he demanded these qualities for himself. Hill says again “I had a very DEFINITE PURPOSE in indulging my imagination through these nightly meetings. My purpose was to rebuild my own character so it would represent a composite of the characters of my imaginary counselors. Realizing, as I did, early in life, that I had to overcome the handicap of birth in an environment of ignorance and superstition, I deliberately assigned myself the task of voluntary rebirth through the method here described.”

Harv Eker talks about movie stars when playing a part study the character they are playing. They don’t just read a script, go home and live the life they normally live, they become that character for the whole time they are playing it. They go to sleep and wake up as that character. Ever hear that you you will become the same as the 5 people you hang around the most? That would tell me that you have to choose those people wisely!

Back to Hill, he says that “These meetings became so realistic that I became fearful of their consequences, and discontinued them for several months. The experiences were so uncanny, I was afraid if I continued them I would lose sight of the fact that the meetings were purely experiences of my imagination.”  I know Hill must have thought that others would have considered this practice insane so he stopped for a while after it became so real. That is probably why he came to this conclusion and made this statement  “One of the blessings of maturity is that it sometimes brings one greater courage to be truthful, regardless of what those who do not understand, may think or say. Or as Michael might say” It doesn’t matter what others think of me, the only thing that matters is what I think about myself”

The last fact Hill states about the sixth sense. “The fact remains that human beings do receive accurate knowledge, through sources other than the physical senses. Such knowledge, generally, is received when the mind is under the influence of extraordinary stimulation. Any emergency which arouses the emotions, and causes the heart to beat more rapidly than normal may, and generally does, bring the sixth sense into action. Anyone who has experienced a near accident while driving, knows that on such occasions, the sixth sense often comes to one’s rescue, and aids, by split seconds, in avoiding the accident.” The one reoccurring principle that I keep seeing over and over is the need for a high vibration of energy that has to be positive of course used in harmony with self talk of the sixth sense principle. The sixth sense has aided me many times in life and I know that I can safely say that I wouldn’t be here without it.
