Think & Grow Rich Lessons

This chapter of Think and Grow Rich shows us how Edwin C. Barnes used his mind to think his way into the daily presence of Thomas Edison.

I think I did a similar thing before finding Mentoring For Free.

First I started a Breakfast Club as Tom Schreiter's book on the subject suggest. I got a listing from the city and called people, asking if they would like to attend. It was pretty popular. People liked it. But it was not quite what I was looking for.

Some time went by and I was associated with a company that had the ebook available on their website. I downloaded it. The file sat there for about 18 months. One day I was cleaning a folder. I opened the pdf, Success In 10 Steps.  I began reading it. I identified immediately with what Michael said.

Talking to family, friends and neighbors did not work. Buying leads sure didn't work. A "No" was one "No" closer to a "Yes."

I Googled Michael and found where I could download his ebook. Michael called, gave me some audios to listen to and said he would be going to Europe for 10 days. I found the call schedule and for about 5 or 6 months never missed a call. I was on all 10 at that time, September, 2012.

I had found what I was looking for. I thought my way into a partnership with Linda and Michael Dlouhy.

I needed the personal growth badly. I was the type of person who could quit most anything and did quit quite a few things, including Mentoring For Free for 4 months.  After posting a lesson on Chapter 15, for probably the 10th time, I said I must do something or I will be here in the same place next year at this time. I volunteered to help out on the Monday and Tuesday evening Live Client calls. Then the person I was helping, left Mentoring For Free and I began doing them in his place. Scary? You bet it was, but something happened that changed everything.

The fear left. I got this from my head to my heart, "It was none of my business what other people thought of me. The only thing that mattered was what I thought of myself."  From then on those calls became easier.

That same person, who had done the Live Client call, knowing he was leaving, asked me if I would do the fourth Thursday training each month. I said "Yes." Scared? You bet I was.

It has been said, when You teach a lesson, You learn it much better. I am learning how to build relationships in social media much better.

I am where I am today in Mentoring For Free, because I knew the skills being taught were accurate and truthful. I knew I was the one in control and if I wanted to make my "Why" a reality, I must utilize this training to the best of my ability.

I'm grateful to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for having a proven, duplicable team system that allows us to learn the skills needed, then have a tool that will allow us to learn by doing. I like to call it On The Job Training (OJT).  We must make the mistakes to learn. Without the tool, we wouldn't make the mistakes; hence we would not learn the skills. Thank You, thank You, thank You Linda and Michael Dlouhy.

I'm grateful for the members of each call who form a Mastermind group per Napoleon Hill's recommendation. Thank You, thank You, thank You to each one of You.

PS: I'm very grateful to each person who has downloaded and chosen to communicate periodically with me. We too, are creating a Mastermind as Napoleon Hill recommends. Thank You, thank You, thank You to each one of You. I appreciate You very much.
