CHAPTER 9 PERSISTENCE: THE SUSTAINED EFFORT
NECESSARY TO INDUCE FAITH

Persistence is a state of mind based upon definite causes,
among them these: —

Knowing what one wants is the first and, perhaps, a most
important step toward the development of persistence.
Definiteness of purpose is a strong motive forces with
which one to overcome many difficulties.

Persistence makes it easy to acquire and to maintain when
pursued with intense Desire.

A self-reliance or belief in one’s ability to carry out a
plan followed through with persistence and with adherence
to one’s autosuggestion or self-talk.

Persistence is encouraged through an organized plan. A
DEFINITENESS OF PLANS even when be weak and entirely
impractical is better than no plan.

Persistence is charge with accurate knowledge, the knowing
that one’s plans are sound, based upon experience or
observation.

Build persistence with the co-operation of others, a harmonious
mastermind (Mentoring for Free) CO-OPERATION.

Persistence with the will-power of concentrating one’s thoughts
upon the building of plans for the attainment of a definite
purpose.

The mind absorbs and becomes a part of the daily experiences
upon which it feeds, so make persistence a habit.

I constantly work on being persistence. I follow the daily
habit of doing my self-talk 100’s times, being on the calls
and participating, actively following my plan of regular
actions and knowing that the plans will work by being steadfast.

In the short time I have been on Mentoring for Free, a profound
change has come over me. This change was not because
life suddenly got easier, far from it. I had had more challenges
in the past months than I would wish on anyone. I did not develop
a super-power or a magic lamp.

I have benefited from the wisdom and persistence of a master
leaders, thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy.  I did gain a
harmonious group of fellow travelers, thanks to each of you on
the calls.  I gained personal mentor who has been a tremendous
encouragement, thanks Bob Shoaf.
