What really hit home with this lesson for me is when talks about replacing failed plans. I have never been afraid to try new things. I would leave one project that was not working and start another one without so much as blinking an eye. I have always believed that temporary defeat is not permanent failure. Still, I realize now that without an organized plan, the end result will always be failure. As persistent as I am, persistence in itself is not enough because if you are persistently doing the wrong things, your plan still will not work. My plans failed because they were not practical or workable not because I was not persistent but when you add persistence to a sound plan, the sky is truly the limit.
This chapter states that your achievement can be no greater than your plans are sound. It states that millions of people go through life in misery and poverty because they lack a sound plan. Wow, these are two powerful statements that I will keep in my arsenal. They are like little gold nuggets for me. As a matter of fact, this chapter was just uplifting and inspiring and I will read it over and over.
I have always been told that it does not matter if you like what you do, you need to survive. This chapter clearly states that it is imperative that you like what you do or how can you possibly consider yourself a success. I have always enjoyed helping other people. My new position as mentor fits my personality perfectly; as Michael always says, “PERFECT”. I finally feel that I am in a career that totally suits me and I am enjoying every moment. Is it work? Yes, but it is not hard work but you do have to be persistent.
Michael thanks so much for allowing me to be part of your incredible mastermind group. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It is a new year and I feel so blessed right now. I am enjoying this moment in time.
Thanks Michael and Linda
