Chapter 7: Organised Planning

THE CRYSTALLIZATION OF DESIRE INTO ACTION

Our lives are made up of plans, the better the plans the more likely they are to lead to achieving the goal. It has been said that “A goal without a plan is just a wish”. Suppose that you are planning during the holidays to paint your house. There a number of criteria that must be set down. What colour/colours are to be used, should the finish be gloss or matt, should the formulation be oil or water based and how many litres of each paint type will be required.

One of the most important requirements of painting is correct preparation, particularly in countries like Australia where the paints are required to withstand extremes of temperature and humidity, which can greatly affect the adhesion of the paint coat to the base material. A major consideration is the cleanliness of the surface along with no flaking material from previous protective layers. The materials required to achieve the required surface cleanliness must be determined along with the time required to carry out the preparation.

It soon becomes clear that what appears to be simple task requires a great deal of thought, decisions and time determinations. These forming the basis for the overall organised plan for the painting of the house, the determination of the end result and how good will be the protection in terms of length of protection. “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

It is the same with our Network Marketing Business, so many people are told that it is numbers game and if they do the numbers they will become successful.

Unfortunately this is only a half truth and just as with anything else we need to plan in and organised way. We have to learn new skills, we need personal development and specialised knowledge.

We need to align ourselves with people who have already succeeded in our Company or in the overall MLM Industry to be our coaches or mentors. We need to determine how many customers we require to give a monthly or weekly cash flow. Where do we obtain these from? We quickly learn that people do not join Companies or particular like a given product, they join people with whom they have an affinity through trust.

As Michael Dlouhy so often quotes, “How you do anything, is how you do everything”.
