Specialized Knowledge, Chapter 5
The chapter on Specialized Knowledge is longest and most detailed chapter in ‘Think and Grow Rich’ and for good reason. There is no fixed price for clever ideas. Back of all innovative ideas is a need for Specialized Knowledge. Specialized knowledge is more abundant and easily acquired than ideas. Because of this every truth there is a great demand for specialized knowledge in helping a person carry out or sell their personal services and ideas.
This chapter makes us realize that those services are needed, and they can be developed with specialized knowledge. Understanding that knowledge will not attract money, as Hill points out. Knowledge must be organized and intelligently directed. One must develop practical plans, plans that are solid, practical, and executable for the accumulation of money.
These plans are not necessarily of a person who has developed an abundance of general or specialized knowledge. “They are of a man that has developed the faculties of his mind that he may acquire anything he wants., or its equivalent, without violating the rights of others.” Quote from Napoleon Hill.
We can acquire anything we want, I mean anything we want by following the six steps in chapter two. Bottom line, we must first create it in our mind, create a picture of that which we desire, mentally look at that picture twice daily, once before going to bed and after arising in the morning. As sure as night follow day, you can and will realize your dreams.
