THE SIXTH SENSE THE DOOR TO THE TEMPLE OF WISDOM
The Thirteenth Step toward Riches
There were a couple of direct statements that Hill mentions in this chapter that kind of sums up what the Sixth Sense is and what it means to me.
The “thirteenth” principle is known as the SIXTH SENSE, through which Infinite Intelligence may, and will communicate voluntarily, without any effort from, or demands by, the individual.
This to me means that this level of communication is going to happen either with the positive influences I express upon it or not. We already know that negative forces are lurking around in the form of naysayers to suck us into the dark side and pull us away from our dreams and desires. This is what we call chatter, noise, distractions, dream killers. Our sixth senses are explained as being the tip of the iceberg when it comes to success principles. It is noted that only until you understand and master the other twelve principles of this book, will you have an understanding of what is possible with gaining knowledge of the sixth sense. Our sixth senses are always working on our relationship with infinite intelligence and its monetary equivalent. But only if we slow down and get rid of the chatter will this relationship truly develop. It is simply our responsibility to do what it takes to develop the skills needed to change the programming. Our mastermind group here at MFF, our self talks, action accountability plans are all a part of that process.
The other statement was as follows:
"The sixth sense is not something that one can take off and put on at will. Ability to use this great power comes slowly, through application of the other principles outlined in this book. Seldom does any individual come into workable knowledge of the sixth sense before the age of forty. More often the knowledge is not available until one is well past fifty, and this, for the reason that the spiritual forces, with which the sixth sense is so closely related, do not mature and become usable except through years of meditation, self-examination, and serious thought."
Everything that has happened to us thus far in this journey has happened for a reason and for a specific purpose. One thing that I can take from this chapter is that you have to have lived life a little bit and go through things in order to see how some of these life puzzle pieces all fit together. In the middle of my fifth decade now, I must say I have saw some things, done some things, and learned some things that have become a part of my makeup today. All the good the bad and the ugly included. But if it wasn't for me taking a look in the mirror with some self-examination and some serious thought, I would not be on the path to success that I am on now. And the spiritual forces and my faith is what binds me to this day. So now I feel as if I have laid the groundwork to become more in tune with my sixth sense.
But as Michael has so often mentioned this week, is that our sixth senses has lead us here to MFF. It was for a purpose. There is a specific reason why we are studying this book. To learn HOW TO THINK and NOT WHAT TO THINK. Most of us would not be here if all of the things from the past didn't happen to us. But for me I know now that it had to happen in order for me to be able to build a better me. Hill teaches us how to build character through auto suggestion. Having a connection to your own mastermind group in your mind that you look up to and want to emulate on your way to being successful. Well I can think of a few people that I want at my round table discussions. Michael, Linda, and all of my friends here at MFF. Thanks for everything
