Specialized Knowledge: Chapter 5
Everyone has specialized knowledge. Some of us do not realize it, however; or we lack the confidence to utilize it.
For instance, we all had a hobby when we were growing up. Some of us loved to bake. Some of us liked to sew. Some of us liked to do hair. Others liked to draw, put on fashion shows, bus rides or
throw pay parties.
Unfortunately, as we get older, life happens and we get discouraged. Along the way, we get ridiculed or talked out of it. In fact, very few of us go through life doing
what we enjoyed as youngsters. That does not mean that we are not talented. It means that we must encourage ourselves.
Although, we can confide in others about our dreams and goals, we must beware of the consequences.
I am not saying to keep your ideas to yourself; just be prepared to coach, teach and share your thoughts with others. Always be transparent.
Always remind others to believe in themselves; to turn their negatives into positives; and to use that drive to achieve their goals.
Thank you Linda and Michael DLouhy and the MFF family, for reminding us how much we have in common.
