Chapter 5 - Specialized Knowledge

When I was in High school I learned how to type and
do shorthand.  So when I went out to get a job I had the
skills needed to acquire a job in the secretarial field.
But whether I worked in the court house, city hall or in
a legal office I had to learn new skills.  I had to
learn specialized knowledge about scheduling appointments,
drawing up wills, real estate, how to provide services
such as marriage licences etc. etc.

When I worked for a Dentist I had the skills to do the
office work but I had to learn the specialized knowledge
of a chair side assistant to the Dentist.

When I got a job as a school bus driver I had to learn
specialized knowledge of how to drive a bigger vehicle,
learn new routes and the rules of the driver responsible
for the students.

When I worked in a sewing factory, I already had the skills
of using a sewing machine and sewing clothes, but I had to
learn the specialized knowledge needed to mass produce in
an assembly line.

For every position I worked in, I had to learn specialized
knowledge.

When I first joined Network Marketing I had to learn how to
talk to people about my business, how to share my products
with people, etc.  But the specialized knowledge I received
when I first began was inadequate.

Hill writes "Any man is educated who knows where to get knowledge
when he needs it, and how to organize that knowledge into definite
plans of action.

Before you can be sure of your ability to transmute DESIRE into
its monetary equivalent, you will require SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
of the service, merchandise, or profession which you intend to
offer in return for fortune. Perhaps you may need much more
specialized knowledge than you have the ability or the inclination
to acquire, and if this should be true, you may bridge your
weakness through the aid of your “Master Mind” group."

It was not until I downloaded the e-book "Success in 10 Steps"
and joined Mentoring for Free that I really got the specialized
knowledge necessary to be successful in the Network Marketing
industry.

As Hill points out in this chapter, we need to have a Mastermind
because we cannot learn it all on our own;  and as Michael Dlouhy
points out, "We need a coach, a mentor, a team of people working
together" and that is what we have here at Mentoring for Free -
Specialized knowledge with a Mastermind.
