CHAPTER 14 - THE DOOR TO THE TEMPLE OF WISDOM
The Thirteenth Step toward Riches

Hill gives us the description of the sixth sense as being that portion of the subconscious mind which is the creative imagination of the brain. It is the center where ideas, thoughts and desires known as hunches, inspirations or flashes are received and transmuted into reality.

This means that both positive and negative information is constantly flowing to us all the time voluntarily and effortlessly. How do we know? We have to provide an environment that promotes complete concentration and focus. The sixth sense comes through meditation, mind development and personal growth. A strong positive Self Talk and ongoing attention to present activities will provide a rich environment in which to receive, experience and acknowledge these hunches or inspirations. Self Talk is a very powerful factor that can help in building our character.

Hill introduces in this chapter the value of emulating people, dead or alive, whom we admire most and who have been great and successful. He himself created an imaginary council of nine men whose lives had impressed him and held imaginary couuncil meetings with this group every night for a long time. He called the group his "Invisible Counselors". His purpose was to rebuild his own character and overcome the environmental disadvantages of his birth.

I love this idea and have started putting together and building my group of counselors. I want to create in my mind through the Sixth Sense and Creative Imagination a personal and private Mastermind Group in order to rebuild my own character and get out of the negative environment that is everywhere around me. I must get away from all the chatter and negativity in order to hear these "flashes" loud and clear.

The starting point of all achievement is a deep seated burning Desire. So the question is Who do I want to become? Who do I want to inspire? The answers to these questions will pave the way to my future success.

Thank you Michael and Linda and all of you in the Mastermind group for your advice and support.
