The First Step toward Riches

The doctor walks into the ER room with the results of the
blood test, “Her ammonia level is elevated which the cause
of mental and memory losses. We have no idea of the causes.
The diagnosis is end-stage liver disease. There is no known
cure, except to have a liver transplant, if she qualify for

That was September, 2013 the first time a name was put the
years of ER visits, hospital stays, and emotional turmoil
Connie and I had already be through, and there was more to
come. It was later in 2014 when she was in the ICU, I was
informed she was being air-evac to Baylor, This is where we
met Dr. Trotter, liver specialist. She was told there steps
she was going to have to take to be possibly considered for
a liver transplant, if ever! She would have to lose weight,
reduce her use of salt ( 2mg per day), rebuild her body and
strength, stay faithful in take taking the necessary medicines
and work to reduce or eliminating other drugs.

In a year’s time Connie lost over 100 pounds, got her sugar
and salt under control, started working with a personal trainer
who strengthen her core, uppers body and legs. When we return
to see Dr. Trotter he was amazed with her results. The changes
in her were wonderful. Now the disease was still there. her had
improved to the point that she was not a candidate for a
transplant. She has now too health! Though disappointed,  I am
proud of Connie for reaching for her desire to get better. She
had a definite goal and plan, and saw a victory.

Mr. Hill wrote, “Barnes’ desire was not a hope! It was not a
wish! It was a keen, pulsating DESIRE, which transcended
everything else. It was DEFINITE.

Barnes succeeded because he chose a definite goal, placed all
his energy, all his will power, all his effort, everything
back of that goal. He created a plan by which to attain that
purpose. But he burned all the bridge behind him. He stood by
his DESIRE until it became the dominating obsession of his
life—and—finally, a fact.”

Hills calls us to turn up our desire for riches ( be it money,
relationships, etc.) into a burning flame, and with a definiteness
of purpose find and follow a plan that will get you there. Hill
even give us the outline to follow: Fix in your mind the exact
amount of money you desire; Determine exactly what you intend
to give in return; Establish a definite date; Create a definite
plan for carrying out your desire; Write out a clear, concise
statement of the amount of money you intend to have and Read your written
statement aloud.

Hill write, “But the successful application of these six steps
does call for sufficient imagination to enable one to see, and
to understand, that accumulation of money cannot be left to
chance, good fortune, and luck. One must realize that all who
have accumulated great fortunes, first did a certain amount of
dreaming, hoping, wishing, DESIRING, and PLANNING before they
acquired money.”

My gratitude to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for manifestation of
their desire here at Mentoring for Free. My appreciation to
each of you on the for the brilliant you bring each day. A
special thank to Bob Shoaf for his friends and encouragement.
