Chapter 14, The Sixth Sense
The Door to the Temple of Wisdom
The Sixth sense is that principle “through which infinite intelligence may and will communicate voluntarily, without an effort from, or demands by, the individual.
This principle of the Sixth Sense defies description. Mr. Hill says,” Understanding of the sixth sense comes only by meditation through mind development from within. It is believed to be the point at which the mind of man contacts the Universal Mind.”
It is because of this belief in and because I have no other way to accomplish what I want to accomplish that I have not been afraid to try something new and to not to be afraid of traveling in a strange place. Of course, I did use the power of prayer to help me and really believed that this sixth sense would communicate my prayer to the infinite intelligence.
I recall one time I was in Italy that I needed to get to a place called “Acuto.” My contact person said that I needed to take a certain train to another destination first because there was no train to “Acuto.” They would send someone to meet me at this station. I was in a country where not many people speak English and I didn’t know exactly where to get off the train even though my friend had told me the name. What I did was to ask people on the train about this station and they told me the stop I needed to embark from the train.
The next challenge was to find the person who was to meet me. Well, that proved to be easy too because they just looked for the person who looked lost and came over and asked if I was,” Ethel Van Zanten.” and sure enough it was who was to pick me up. I really believe that it was the sixth sense that guided me to ask when I wasn’t sure and this, “guardian angel,” sent these people to help me.
i really do feel we all have a guardian angel
Thank you for letting me share.
