Chapter 13 The Brain
THE BRAIN: A BROADCASTING AND RECEIVING STATION FOR THOUGHT
The Twelfth Step toward Riches
“The two great movers of the human mind are the desire of good and the fear of evil.”
At the time of the writing of “Thick and Grow Rich” little was known regarding the Hunan Brain. Hill working with the eminent inventors Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, and Dr. Elmer R. Gates, observed that every human brain is both a broadcasting and receiving station for the vibration of thought. Towards the end of Hill’s work initial work had began to establish the validity of Clairvoyance and Telepathy.
Today through advance in technological investigations much more is understood regarding the working of the Human Brain and has confirmed much of Hill’s findings. We understand more concerning the Brains development in early childhood and how this can be affected by the attitude of the parents particularly the mother.
In the modern the addictions of drugs and alcohol together with smoking are now being shown as harmful to the unborn child, whilst also being contributory facts to behaviour in teenage and adult life. It is proven that drugs and alcohol use destroys parts of the Brain and also changes the behaviour patterns.
The Brain itself is a marvel, it consists of 10,000,000,000 to 14,000,000,000 nerve cells in the human cerebral cortex arrange in definite patterns and electrical interconnected. Unlike other animal brains which basically control only the bodily functions, the Human Brain has the added attribute of thought and the ability to communicate with other Brains and Infinite Intelligence through the Subconscious Mind, Creative Imagination and Autosuggestion. All the forces only come into being through Passionate Desires.
