Chapter 4

How many times have you heard, ‘What goes around, comes around”? I'm not for sure when that was first used, and the context of that saying, but it became a classical cliche. However, what I do know is that it relates to this chapter. What we tell ourselves each day is what will come around and back to ourselves.

There are many people every day that could benefit from reading this chapter, as it would show what they are doing to themselves when they talk negative about themselves. Throughout my baseball career, I was able to see how others handled themselves. Every player went through ups and downs with their play. But the ones who handled and reminded themselves how good of a ball player they are, were the ones who was able to snap out of a skid quicker than the others.

Baseball has taught me many lessons that can be applied in life. Every person, even the most successful, go through tough times. But, just as in baseball, the successful people are able to get back on their feet and get back on track. How? In my opinion, it's by what they think and tell themselves every day.

If what goes around, comes back to us. What have you been saying about yourself that will come around into reality?
