Chapter 4 Auto-Suggestion
The mere reading of words is of no consequence to the development of a person’s auto-suggestion unless they mix in emotion or feeling with their words.
It is also necessary to read the words aloud because reading them will not drive them home.
“Your subconscious mind recognizes and acts only upon thoughts that have been well mixed with emotion or feeling”
This is a good statement to hear repeatedly as Napoleon says the reason most people fail at using autosuggestion is the lack of emotion or feelings in their words.
The use of autosuggestion is a powerful tool but unfortunately it can be used also to develop negative self-talk just as easily as positive self-talk.
It is important we realize we are sabotaging ourselves when we allow negative emotions and feelings to take over our thoughts.
I find it is encouraging that man can master himself and his environment by using the power of influence over his subconscious.
Thanks to Micheal and Linda Dlouhy for providing us with this master mind group and the fellow masterminds at Mentoring for Free.
