“Encourage the presence of these emotions (desire, faith,
love, sex, enthusiasm, romance, hope and prosperity) as
the dominating thoughts in one’s mind, and discourage the
presence of all the destructive emotions. The mind is a
creature of habit. It thrives upon the dominating thoughts
fed it. Through the faculty of willpower, one may discourage
the presence of any emotion, and encourage the presence of
any other. Control of the mind, through the power of will,
is not difficult. Control comes from persistence, and habit.
The secret of control lies in understanding the process of
transmutation. When any negative emotion presents itself in
one’s mind, it can be transmuted into a positive, or
constructive emotion, by the simple procedure of changing
one’s thoughts.”

As I read this paragraph from chapter 11, I had a light bulb
turn on, an ah ha moment. The entire formula is right here.
We can look at suggestions that we need to be follow. Let you
mind be that creature of habit abiding in the encouraging
presence of the positive emotions. Furthermore, we’re to
discourage all presence of destructive emotions, you know those
that suck your very energy away. Why is this so important? The
mind thrives, clinks, and dwells on the dominating or primary
thought we fed it.

Use the willpower given us to by God, to choose the emotions or
paths we are to follow. The control of the mind is within our
willpower, we just need to activate and use it. Though not
difficult, we must be persistent and habitual in our choices.

We are called to take a strong physical emotions (sex), given to
us by our maker, and convert or transmute it into an emotional
energy, a high. which strengthen all our constructive emotions
into dominating force of the mind.

“Even the memories of love are sufficient to lift one to a higher
plane of creative effort. The major force of love may spend itself
and pass away, like a fire which has burned itself out, but it
leaves behind indelible marks as evidence that it passed that way.
Its departure often prepares the human heart for a still greater
love. Go back into your yesterdays, at times, and bathe your mind
in the beautiful memories of past love. It will soften the influence
of the present worries and annoyances. It will give you a source of
escape from the unpleasant realities of life, and maybe—who knows?
—your mind will yield to you, during this temporary retreat into the
world of fantasy, ideas, or plans which may change the entire
financial or spiritual status of your life.”

I have heard Michael Dlouhy or Ken Klemm tell us to remember a time,
a moment, and an event that was a high point in our lives. Recall
how you felt at that instant, the excitement, joy, and high. See
yourself reliving it. Now bring that emotion to mind and relive it
in what you are doing. That is the transmutation of physical energy
into mental and emotional energy. Take that into all you do and your
life well be transformed.
