To some extent we all have fears which stop us from doing what we know we should do and often it’s something what we really want to do. But our fear stops us. Fear of what others might think. Fear of failure or looking stupid.
In fact most people don’t think anything about us at all. They’re often too busy with their own fears to even notice ours.
The only way to live our lives the way we want, to be successful in our chosen network marketing company, is to get over our fears, the fear of talking to people about our products or about our business opportunity. The fear of someone saying no.
It doesn’t matter how much knowledge we have about our comp plan or the products or ingredients or about the amazing results some customers have experienced.
None of that matters if we don’t open our mouths and tell people about our business.
Tom “Big Al” Schreiter tells us that it is not our job to make people join us or buy our products. It is our job as network marketers to let people know what we have so that THEY can decide if it’s for them or not.
Fear is nothing more than a state of mind and everyone knows that, with practise, we can learn to control our thoughts and our state of mind.
And I am learning that if I concentrate on how I can help someone, whether it’s a person who I can help with one of my products or a new distributor on my team, then I won’t have time to be afraid.
That is why personal development is so important.
