Chapter 3, Faith

Visualization of and Belief in

Attainment of Desire

Mr. Napolean Hill says” When Faith is blended with the vibration of thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into it spiritual equivalent and transmits it to infinite intelligence, as in the case of prayer.”

Our emotions of Faith, Love and Sex are the most positive emotions we have and ones we need to build a successful business;not only business but a successful life.  To develop Faith we must have a positive state of mind by repeating positive affirmations about what we desire for our life.  Repeating positive affirmations to our subconscious mind over and over until the subconscious mind accepts what we are saying in our affirmations causes the subconscious mind to act and translate these affirmations into Faith. These affirmations must be emotional thoughts which cause action and Faith that our thoughts will become reality.

In order for affirmations to become real we need to use the other principles that Mr. Hill outlines in this book.  It takes concentration, desire, belief, imagination, persistence and planning.

In Alaska there was a project that our Faith was involved with.  This project needed some able-bodied young people to help.  The youth were to go to a small town in the Aleutians to work in a cannery where they processed crab.  They worked standing in a line with the crab passing by on a belt in eight hour shifts.   This was at a time when there were many King crab to be found in the gulf of Alaska.  These youth worked in eight hour shifts many days without a day off. When they weren’t working or sleeping they said prayers for the ones that were working.  At the end of the season when the total amount of crab processed was accounted  for there was more crab ready to be sent to the market than any other time in the history of this cannery.  The prayers and belief that they could beat all records and knowing that they were helping the Faith by contributing part of their salary was a dream come true for each one of these youth. Saying positive affirmations was certainly a part of this whole project.

In our business, we need to remember that we can’t have any negative thoughts enter our mind to be a success.  It does really take concentration, desire, belief, imagination, persistence and planning to achieve our desires.  This is what causes the magnetism that attracts most people to us.
