The starting point of all achievement.

Hills stories of Barnes and  of his(Hill’s) son illustrate that a person with a “burning” desire, a “definite” dream are un-stoppable.

I cringe each time I come to this chapter.  Since my introduction to network marketing over 20 years ago I have known this magic ingredient.  “You gotta have a DREAM!”   As Hill states, “Barnes’ desire was not a hope! It was not a wish! It was a keen, pulsating DESIRE, which transcended everything else. It was DEFINITE.”  Or as Michael puts it, “A Why that makes you cry.”

I must have it..I mean I am still here.  I just can’t seem to verbalize it-put it to pen & paper.

I used to joke, “I have a dream, I just want out of this nightmare I have created.”  True, but not very definite.  I also now understand I was giving energy to the nightmare.

It must be specific-written down!

Every time I tried to do it I followed the pattern I saw most people expressed it in- “Stuff.”

I’m not saying I wouldn’t like a better car, house, a chance to travel…etc. , but that’s not what excites me.  I was told to make it specific.  The more I tried to expand on the “stuff,” the less excited I become.

There’s a satellite company commercial (didn’t hit mute fast enough Michael)  that shows a log cabin, a family dressed in homemade looking clothes, mom cooking over an open fire- in the middle of a modern suburban neighborhood.  Kid says “ Dad, if we had XYZ we could get ‘such and such’ like Jimmy next door.”  Dad says,  “No son, we’re ‘settlers,’  we settle.”

I won’t share the details, but I watched my wonderful, hardworking, beautiful wife cry this week.  And I said to my self….I Am Done Settling!

Now one more time- Pen, paper and the six steps Hill gives to make it definite!

Thanks to Michael & Linda for providing this forum and system that gives me the truth and pushes me to learn and apply!

I am so proud to be a part of this crazy, wonderful business- to be associated with an inspired by folks with a burning desire who refuse to settle!
