CHAPTER 2 - DESIRE
As quoted by Napoleon Hill "A burning desire to be and to do is the starting
point from which the dreamer must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference,
laziness or lack of ambition."
Everyone can have a desire, but not everyone can have a BURNING desire. Plain
old desire comes easy, everybody desires something all the time. A burning desire
is different. It is all consuming, transcending everything else. It is definite. You
will know you have achieved the state of mind known as a burning desire when you
are able to cut off all sources of retreat, burn every ship you have. However, you
must also have definiteness of purpose. Doesn't do you a lot of good to have a
burning desire if you don't set a goal and stick with your plan to reach it.
It all starts with just a dream. If you truly believe, you will achieve. Desire is
a very powerful thing. Oh, and did you know thoughts are things, as well?
If you can think it, you can do it, what our mind can do is limitless.
